To further support Detroit's revitalization efforts, Advance Plumbing's sister company, Rebuilding Detroit, was born. We are proud to announce our partnership with Habitat Detroit and through this meaningful collaboration, we will continue to provide our time and essential supplies needed to rebuild homes in our community.
The Pettway Family Home Dedication Story
The Pettway family’s journey toward homeownership was made possible by the incredibly hard-working team at Habitat Detroit and volunteers from several other great organizations. The family’s story is one of resilience, hard work, and dedication—qualities that are also shared by the Advance Plumbing family. As a business that has been deeply rooted in the Detroit community for over 100 years, it was especially meaningful for Advance Plumbing to be able to contribute in such a big way to the families of Habitat Detroit.
The mission of Habitat for Humanity Detroit has a hyper-local focus with a world vision of working side-by-side with all stakeholders to build a better living environment. It was clear that this mission resonated with our team members who were on hand at the home dedication ceremony held on October 17th. “The best part for me was seeing how above and beyond each individual went to make this possible," said Steve Ruggero, Sales Associate of Advance Plumbing & Heating Supply. “It was truly eye-opening watching the Pettway family receive the keys to their new home. I am so proud that we could be part of this memorable moment and I look forward to continuing our partnership with Habitat for Humanity Detroit!”
